Green Ray by OC Heaton

4 star 7/10

I enjoyed leap The first book in this trilogy, so much that I was really glad I already had Green Ray uploaded onto my Kindle and ready to go. I was sent a copy to take part in a book blog tour organised by love books, tours

As I said in my previous review these this genre isn’t my usual reading choice that I was drawn to this one because of the addition of the sci-fi elements

This book has an horrific segment that I struggled to read, and found rather gratuitous luckily there was only one section like this, and it was quite short

I enjoyed the parts of this novel that were set in the White House and involving the President they were particularly exciting. It was good too re-meet some of the characters from the first novel a few years on I enjoyed the ethical tangle they had managed to get themselves into . There were interesting ethical issues to think about as you read.

As with the first of this series, you do have to suspend your disbelief and go with the flow a bit in order to enjoy the most. This isn’t a deep complicated literary novel, but it is jolly good fun, it’s fast paced with lots of action and an interesting intelligent storyline.

I’m really looking forward to book 3, which I’ll be reading as part of a read along

The book was publishing, the UK in August 2023 by Rockwood publishing

I read an electronic copy of the novel as part of a book blog tour, this review will appear on Goodreads and my book blog Bionicsarahsbooks.wordpress.com Anne And, Amazon, UK
